Ian Stevenson is a UFO in the art world, depicting the world as he experiences it. Availing himself of a weightless irony, the artist meditates on subjects that are still profoundly tangible, such as the desire for social conformity. He takes inspiration from the mundane world around him to create microcosmic moments of profound humour with flawed humanity being his enduring theme.
